One year

Eliza turned one this Tuesday - what an incredible year this has been. The photos are (all but the last one) of her birthday party on Saturday. The final one is of a Mothers Day brunch on Sunday.
I feel like someone's hit the fast forward button lately as she's just been turning into a little person so quickly. Walking, keeping up a constant stream of babble and sing-song and becoming VERY independent. There's no more being spoon-fed for this little munchkin. And it's quite something to see her hanging out with the big kids, she seems to know how to hold her own (and to shriek really loud when things get too rough). Her most popular words at the moment are mama, dada, uh-oh, illy (said in a high pitched shriek), bye-bye, hello, go and what-dat. She loves the water, big kids, playing in the dirt, brushing her hair, shoes and socks, and is a pretty good eater as well. She's a real carnivore - loves her meat - and also is big on the cheese. Bread, pasta and rice are other favorites, as well as most fruits and some veggies.
'Liza's also a comedian, making us laugh constantly and often breaking into fits of giggles herself. A favorite pastime at the moment (which I'm trying to discourage) is chasing illy around with her bottle, giggling, trying to feed it to him. Fortunately illy is a Very Patient Dog.
