Why I'm sore
This weekend I went running for the first time in nearly a year. Definitely for the first time since Eliza was born. It was just a half hour down the end of Glebe Point Road, through Jubilee Park and back up through Annandale, but it was so good for my state of mind. Running is such a different pursuit than walking, everything looks better at higher speed. I had forgotten what good some strenuous exercise (and oxygen) can do. And though it definitely hurt, I didn't stop to walk once. I think that childbirth has given me a new pain threshold. Maybe I should have another go at a marathon? Hah!
